The Associated Press had Pacquiao ahead 117 to 111. Most everyone, including Bradley, was convinced Pacquiao had won the match. Before the final decision was announced, Bradley told Bob Arum, who promoted the fight for both boxers, “I tried hard but I couldn’t beat the guy,” according to the AP. In the split decision, Judge Jerry Roth scored it for Paqiao, 115-113, but judges Duane Ford and CJ Ross scored it at 113-115, prompting boos from the 14206 fans at MGM Grand Garden Arena. Saturday’s game marks Pacquiao’s first loss in seven years. Although Pacquiao is entitled to a rematch, this is not necessarily a given. Brokers are saying they may have trouble selling tickets for a rematch in November.
